Creative Writing Poem Cuba I remember Glassy waters, the crystal beaches stretching over jagged rocks. Foreign tongues of strangers soothing sounds apathetic to understanding. Sunbathing iguanas scaling up and down the beaches. Swim, swim, swim through a sea of coral life. Watching through goggles in amazement diversity in colors. Paradise as I dream of. Barbwire fences gating off my beaches, a base camp for prisoners, sad faces passersby to the news stations vandalizing human rights for cost greater than any words can describe. Close off the crystal beaches. Paradise destroyed nightmares become reality. Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
