A new story to read The clock ticked so slowly... ever soo slowly... Tick... Tick. She turned her head knowing that it would tick faster if she wasn't looking at it. She simplified her notebook by tearing out new notes she'd never look at. The teacher lectured on about how the real world was soo hard and that she wasn't ready for it. Anything has to be better than this. The bell ringed a spark of joy flew in her head she went to stand up out of her seat her ripped out papers fell off the desk. Crap... She bent down to pick them up. As people stepped over her in there rush to get out of school. Looking around as she realized she was the only one left. She left, saying bye to her teacher which responded with a look up from her desk. As a simple ... oh I know your there... I just don't care. She left and traveled down the stairs. Down the hall and out the door. Running to catch up to her Bus. Her bookbag thumping against her thigh the door opened and she entered her bus. Trying to find a seat was impossible. She just stood. Trying not to hit people with her bookbag. But on every turn hitting someone in the face. Apologizing after each time. It was finally her stop. She got off the bus. Her flip flop caught and she fell... Right on her knees. Everyone laughed. I really don't know what they were laughing out... How much humor could it be to fall right on your face. Honestly... Walking to her house or limping for that matter. She got to her front porch. Almost touching the knob it turned for her, and opened. Shux. Her mom was home. She went inside. Her mom closed the door for her. Almost to her room her mom yelled at her to come downstairs to have a "chat". Honestly there wasn't much to chat about school sucked as always. Her mom always had something to complain about. Always asking about her grades as if they weren't already all A's and B's ... Her mom always reminded her that she wasn't perfect with a 96 average. She felt as if it didn't matter even if she had a hundred. What difference would 4 points make anyway. Fed up with all of it she went to her room. Closed the door. Flipped on her fan. Changed into pajamas. Fell onto her bed. And cried. An hour later she fell asleep listning to her favorite emo music. Remembering she had a life. After waking up. She looked at the clock. Perfect, it's 3:00a.m. mom's asleep probly with her boyfriend. She got out of bed walked over to her desk. And started to paint. She loved to paint. Anything, whatever came to her mind first. Though she did start a collage of Pixies and Fairies as her tribute to tinkerbell. She brushed her problems away Each stroke reminding her how life isn't so bad. Dipping her brush in water. As all the colors mixed. Just like all of her emotions. She kept painting. Just like her life kept going on and on. An endless battle she knew she'd never win. Washing off her hands as she let the paint dry. Just like her tears dried. Smiling because she knew tommorow would be better. then going to bed. it was 5:00a.m. She had an hour to lie there awake, to think about how awesome it was going to be to see Dustin at school the next day. She secretly amired his black hair and his stonewashed jeans with his puma's and studded belt and chain wallet. Isn't that adorable. Her alarm rang. She got up. Although it wouldn't be getting up since she was already up so she just got out of bed. Threw on some jeans and a tshirt she found on the floor. Brushed her hair. Threw on her black glasses. And left. Not stopping for breakfast because she was too lazy to make it. Grabbing her bookbag, she left for school. On her journey to the bus stop. Throwing on some broken headphones. She had to jiggle them every now and then because it would cut off. Strapping her cd player into her back pack she was all set. She got to the busstop early. Noone was at her busstop because noone lived close by. She would drive to school but her mom was too cheap to afford to buy her a car. And she didn't have money to fork out for a car. She had no job because her mom never would take her to look one. Oh well. She normally would just find money laying around the house and just take it. It sucked being the only child. She had noone to blame for it. She normally would just admit to it. And her mom would just yell and yell for about 15 - 45 minutes depending on how much she stole. It normally was 20 bucks. Psh the bus rolled to a stop. This time she wasn't running... Score... Seems like today is going to be a good day. And she sat down, she always had a seat in the morning. Because everyone else's parants drove them to school. After taking them out to breakfast at Mcdonalds and having a in-depth conversation on how there lives were like. She would have liked it but knowing her mom it would have been a conversation on how good her grades were... And then move onto how little she does at home. Whatever. School started. She's in homeroom now. She knows all the answers to the teachers questions but never raises her hand to answer them. It's really stupid and annoying, she just puts her head down on the table and falls asleep. RING. Second period. Same procedure. RING third period. Same procedure. and thus till she gets to 4th period where she pays attention because it's art class and she actually enjoys learning something NEW.... RING lunch. What joy. Sitting in the cafeteria by herself and the occasional guy that sits down just to hit on her. Then leaves after realizing she wasn't worth his time. She never understood what they saw in her. Maybe it was nothing. OH SHOOT. there he goes. It's Dustin, walking straight past her she looked up at him nonchalantly. He walked by and over to sit down with his girlfriend. Gurrr. She would approach him she really would. But she had no guts. Maybe she should take some social classes on how to make friends.... But frankly people just suck.
